Flexi Freezer Menu Planning

15 April 2008 · No Comments

As I said yesterday, I need to empty the freezer, ready for moving out.

Here’s my flexible meal plan, so that we can take a meat out of the freezer and eat it up each day.

Recipes for Pork:
Pan-fried Pork and garlic

Recipes for Lamb:
Spiced lamb with couscous

Recipes for Chicken:
Garlic chicken
Lemon roasted chicken
Barbeque-y chicken wings

Recipes for Sausages:
Sausage mushroom yorkshires
Toad in the hole / Meatball toad in the hole
Hot dogs

Fish recipes/freezer things:
Pan-fried rainbow trout
Fish fingers

Meat-free (not from freezer):
Pizza, pasta, noodles

I guess I’ll use the lemon roasted chicken for my Sunday roast fix - shove in some yorkshire puddings and maybe fix up some lemon stuffing (if not, sage and onion’s just fine).
My garlic chicken is also due for an eating. It’s far too good to forget about!
And while I do the garlic chicken, I’ll freeze up a batch of chicken nuggets - trying out a new crispy coating for them, possibly (depending on money left this week).

So, looks like I won’t need much shopping this week. Which means I can save myself time by buying convenient items, like breadcrumbs for those chicken nuggets.
