Things haven’t gone as I planned.
I couldn’t get all the things on the list, and some of the things I’d hoped to eat as leftovers weren’t fresh enough.
At breakfast, I couldn’t do the micro-omelette because I forgot to get cling-film to cook it on, so made a quick quesadilla from leftovers I had in the fridge, also ate a yoghurt.
Snuck a snack of wafer-thin ham - I randomly eat it to keep my iron levels high. I’m one of those at high risk of anemia.

Ate a quick and easy lunch of soup and an orange. I love something hot at lunchtime, but I don’t like to have anything too much, and my budget would crash and burn from anything too expensive.
There were no grapes, but I had a mini noodle pot in the cupboard, and I ate that up. I am trying to use up all my little bits and pieces - only nine more weeks in Uni, which isn’t a lot of time.

Dinner was great - I haven’t had fish fingers in years, but when the top brand was on special offer, I had to try them again. I wasn’t disappointed. Substituted a corn on the cob for the green beans, as I just love sweetcorn. This is my STAR of the day - due to it being great value for money, superbly tasty and all cooked from the freezer. It’s a perfect student meal!
Since BP came back a night early, I swapped the cinnamon apples for a chocolate fondue, with banana, strawberries and biscuits. Delicious!
So - recap:
Daily servings of fruit and veg: 4
Daily servings of dairy: 3
Daily servings of high-fibre: 4, without fruit/veg: 0
Weekly servings so far fish: 1
Weekly servings so far high-iron: 1

Other news - bought my shiny new camera - so lovely pictures are on their way of most of this food. Pictures still waiting on my old camera are being sorted as soon as I fetch it from parents’ house.
