Bento #1 – Star theme

I just created my own bento lunchbox for the first time today.
Although I’m not quite convinced it’s a true bento…
Maybe a faux-bento…

So here it is:

Star shaped cheese with pickle dip
Star shaped cheese and ham sandwiches
Star-sweets-topped sponge cake
Crisps
Cake and cereal bars

The last three things I put in to make a complete lunch, and that’s what makes me doubt the authenticity of the bento.

I paired up the items into sweet-savoury pairs and ate like that.
That suited me nicely – I often struggle with sweet-savoury balance.
